For those of you who use Gmail and Kubuntu, here is a good news. KCheckGMail has finally made the transition from KDE 3 to KDE 4. KCheckGMail is a simple KDE systray application that notifies when new email is received in a Gmail account.

The package you refer to is actually the KDE3 one. It works fine on KDE4, but it's not KDE4 native.
